The first of many plates.
Dessert time!
So the buffet is new, so maybe it's not in its prime, but we went for Memorial Day lunch and it was pretty dreadful. We had heard good things from our neighbors so we gave it a try, but the only things I really enjoyed were their tuna tartare, tempura, mochi, and oranges. The sushi was sub par compared to other Jersey sushi buffets (such as Minado). The rice was was too sticky and really ruined the sushi. The Udon was ok, but there wasn't anything special about it. The hot part of the buffet was also ok, but nothing special. The teriyaki beef was descent as was their mini hambagus.
The dessert was nothing compared to Minado's aside from the mochi with redbean which was delicious. Our family also consumed our body weight in oranges because they were just that sweet.
Overall, if I'm in the mood for sushi, I'd drive the extra 20 minutes to make it to Minado. This one gets a thumbs down.
